From Maryland to Midlothian VA
Great Italian Food in a Warm Friendly Atmosphere
The story of Dominic’s Italian Grille begins up north in Colesville, Maryland. For 50 years, the restaurant was known for its homemade meatballs, mouth-watering subs and local favorite, the Maryland crab pizza. Owner Ron prided himself on a warm, friendly atmosphere – where locals could comfortably gather and consistently have a good time.
Meanwhile in Midlothian, Joey was a Special Education teacher at James River High School. Coordinating outings for her students and raising her two children in Chesterfield County, she had a strong appreciation for kid-friendly establishments with local roots.
Upon being reconnected through a close friend decades later, these two former college flames unexpectedly rekindled. During their courtship, Ron fell in love with the quant-yet-rapidly-growing charm of Midlothian and decided to bring his Maryland concept down 95 (…and, well, right off 288).
The timing synched up perfectly with Joey retiring from 22 years of teaching in Chesterfield County, now giving her the opportunity to help Midlo and the surrounding areas in an entirely new way.
